| Step 1: |
| Open Outlook 98. Click on the word Tools across the top and slide your mouse down, clicking on Accounts.(View Screenshot) |

| A new window will appear, click on the Mail tab across the top. Click the Properties button on the left. If there are more then one account displayed, select the desired account first then click the Properties button.(View Screenshot) |

| In the Email Address field, it should read your username@cableone.net. Double check there are no spaces and that you are using periods ".". Click on the Servers tab across the top.(View Screenshot) |

| Your incoming mail server is a POP3. For Incoming Mail (POP3) and Outgoing Mail (SMTP) they are mail.cableone.net. Double check there are no spaces and that you are using periods ".". In the Account name field it is just your username (without @cableone.net). Click on the Connection tab across the top.(View Screenshot) |

| Under the Connection tab, click next to Connect Using My Local Area Network (LAN). Click on the Advanced tab across the top.(View Screenshot) |

| Under the Advanced tab, Outgoing Mail (SMTP) is 25 and the Incoming Mail (POP3) is 110. Click OK and then click Close.(View Screenshot) |
