Advanced Diagnostics Settings Modems
Our DOCSIS 3 modems provide customers with various diagnostic tools; however in order to promote increased network security we’ve disabled access to the Advanced Wireless Tab.
Why has Cable ONE disabled my access my Advanced link tab in my diagnostic page?
In order to prevent outside parties and threats from accessing this information, we’ve disabled the Advanced Diagnostic tab.
What does this change mean to me?
The diagnostic information in the Advanced tab is proprietary and must be protected as much as possible. If you would like to access the wireless portion of your device and have questions regarding wireless security, please visit this support article.
What if I want to have access to the signal information to troubleshoot issues myself?
The Advanced tab provides diagnostic data about our signal as it travels from our Cable head end to your home. Our technical support agents use this information to diagnose service impairments. We encourage you to contact us at 877-MYCABLE to troubleshoot and resolve signal issues.
Will this change affect my ability to resolve my wireless issues?
Cable ONE is dedicated to providing you with the knowledge and support needed to help you enjoy your services. This change has been made to ensure the security of your wireless interface and will not hinder our ability to help you. If you need help troubleshooting your wireless connection, please call us at 877-MYCABLE. We are open 24/7.
Will Cable One help me get the Advanced setting back if I own my own modem?
Cable ONE has restricted the Advance tab access to anyone outside our internal network to maintain the security of the diagnostic information contained in this feature. This feature has been restricted on all modems connected to our network; as a result, we will not support enabling access to it.
