How do I connect my iPad to my wireless network?
Connecting your iPad to a wireless network is easy! Please follow the steps below:
Before you begin, make sure you know the wireless settings of your router such as the wireless network name (SSID) and the network key or password. Click here for help locating your wireless network key/passphrase/passcode.
Step 1: On your iPad’s Home Screen, tap the "Settings" icon.
Step 2: Tap "Wi-Fi".
Note: If the Wi-Fi feature is OFF, tap or slide the Wi-Fi switch to the right to activate.
Step 3: Under Choose a Network Tap your router’s wireless network name (SSID).
Note: If the iPad can’t detect your wireless network’s name, but your other devices can, try enabling and disabling the Wi-Fi feature of the iPad. If you still can’t see the network, restart the iPad by powering it OFF then ON.
Step 4: Enter your network’s wireless key/passcode/passphrase in the available field then tap "Join".
Note: If the "Join" button is grayed out after typing in the password, this would mean that the network key you entered is lacking some characters.
Your iPad should now be connected to the wireless network.
You should see a solid AirPort icon on the upper left corner of your iPad when you are already connected to the network. The number of signal bars shows the strength of the connection between the router and your iPad’s adapter. However, it has no bearing on your network connection speed.
