Step 1: Double check that all connections between your phone and the wall are tight. Make sure the wires are not frayed or damaged. Remove any splitters if you have them installed.
Step 2: Move your phone to another wall outlet to see if the current wall outlet is at fault.
Step 3: If your phone still isn't working, try resetting your cable modem:

Step 1: Turn off your computer and router (if present).
Step 2: Press the reset button on the back of your modem.
Note: Do not unplug the power.
